What began as a small idea between Ryan (left) and Ryan (right) has grown into a passionate, pet‑loving business now proudly operated by Ryan (right) and Rachel (middle). With a shared commitment to giving our own pets the very best, we set out to create a place where quality, care, and knowledge come together.
Combining years of hands on pet experience with Ryan’s specialist pet nutrition expertise, we decided to open a business dedicated to offering premium pet food, natural treats, and high‑quality toys all backed by exceptional customer service. Our mission has always been simple: help pet owners make informed choices and provide healthier, happier lives for their dogs and cats.
That dream became a reality when we took the leap and opened our very first store in Hamilton a huge milestone and hopefully the first of many locations to come. Every day, we’re proud to support our community with expert advice, trusted products, and a genuine passion for pets.

Skye - Food Is everything
Hi, I’m Skye 12 years young, treat obsessed, and forever loyal to my food bowl. I’m a classic Husky with big feelings, big opinions, and a tummy that says “no wheat, please” even though my mouth says “yes to every treat ever.” I’m not as fast as I used to be and my teeth have retired from heavy‑duty work, but I still love long walks and secure‑field zoomies with my little brother.
I once had a black and white Husky best friend named Shadow, who helped me through my separation anxiety and will always hold a special place in my heart now she's passed over the rainbow bridge. Now I’ve got a younger brother who’s bursting with energy, and I do my best to teach him the fine art of Husky mischief.
Bella - Treat expert
I’m Bella, a Springer Spaniel with a serious love for treats! Honestly, I’m not picky I love all treats! Whether they’re crunchy, chewy, or full of flavor, I’m here for it. If it’s a treat, you can bet I’ll be there, tail wagging and ready to do my best “please” face. My taste buds are always on the lookout for something new and exciting, and every snack is a little adventure of its own.
When I’m not busy taste-testing, I’m running around the park, ears flying in the wind, soaking up all the fun. But after a long day of product sampling at the office, I love nothing more than letting my ears down and just relaxing. A good treat and a peaceful moment make life perfect. So, if you’ve got any tasty snacks, I’m your girl to try them out and if you need a park buddy, I’m always ready for an adventure!
Jake - Quality control specialist
Hi, I’m Jake! I’m a Black Lab-Pointer mix, and if you ask me, I’m basically the official expert on tennis balls. Seriously, I’ve got a nose for finding the best ones, and I’ll tell you nothing beats the feeling of sinking my teeth into a fresh ball. I can chase them, fetch them, and chew them till my paws are tired. But I’m not just any ball lover I’m a quality control specialist. When I’m not chasing balls around the park, I’m making sure the tennis balls from Wild Paws and Claws are built to last. No ball stands a chance of breaking on my watch.
I also love long walks in the park. There’s something about the breeze in my fur and the smells of adventure that make my tail wag like crazy. Whether I’m testing out my latest batch of tennis balls or just soaking in the sights, life is pretty great. So, if you ever need a pro to inspect some new balls or you’re looking for a walking buddy, you know who to call!
Koda - The Youngest of the bunch
Hey, I’m Koda the young, wild, and wonderfully weird 3 year old brother of Skye. I’m a toy collector with a strict “everything is mine” policy. Balls and fluffy toys are my treasures, and I take great care of them… unless they’re tennis balls, because removing the fluff is simply my duty. I’m bursting with energy, thanks to my speedy Husky metabolism, and I live for playtime, walkies, and treats. I adore attention, but only if it’s all on me. If someone else gets too much of it, I’ll let out my signature Husky howl to restore balance.
Ivy - Cat boss
Hello, I’m Ivy, the Ragdoll queen, and I take my job as the official boss very seriously. I’m not just any cat—I’m the ultimate product tester. Whether it’s toys, treats, or anything else, I’m on it. I’ve got the skills to chase, bat, and pounce like no other. If it’s got a whisker of fun, I’m the one to check it out. My love for cat products is unmatched, and I make sure only the best pass my rigorous standards.
As the boss of the pack at Wild Paws and Claws, I keep everything running smoothly. Everything from toys to treats gets my stamp of approval—or my disapproval, if it doesn’t meet my high standards.
